Towanda Webber, LCDC

Ms. Webber is a proud Texas native, born in Crockett, and raised in a loving Christian home as the fourth of six children. After graduating from high school, she attended Prairie View A&M University.

Her passion for serving others led her to Houston, where she worked in various roles dedicated to community service. Her commitment extended beyond her professional life-she also served faithfully in multiple positions at New Jerusalem Church. She always dreamed of helping the sick, supporting those in prison, and encouraging individuals struggling with addiction, which ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in counseling.

In 2002, Webber earned her certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor from Houston Community College, deepening her commitment to helping individuals facing chemical addiction.

In 2005, she married and relocated to Madisonville, Texas, where she prayed for an opportunity to continue serving others. Her prayers were answered in 2007 when she was hired at the Madisonville Resource Center.

At the Madisonville Resource Center, Webber plays a vital role in connecting individuals with essential services. The center serves as a One-Stop Shop for community support, offering referrals and outreach programs. Since 2007, she has worked tirelessly to assist those in need, collaborating with various outreach agencies and partnering with the Telehealth Institute to facilitate counseling services for clients. The services she provides are a critical component of whole person care, ensuring that our shared clients receive comprehensive support for their physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs.

Webber has also been a consistent source of encouragement to Dr. Carly McCord, her staff, and students, always welcoming them with warmth and generosity.

Each year, she graciously hosts the team for the driving tour, offering future practitioners a firsthand look at community-based care and inspiring them through her dedication to service.

In addition to her work at the Madisonville Resource Center, she volunteers at the House of Hope, where she continues her work as a licensed chemical dependency counselor, helping individuals on their journey to healing and restoration.

Webber is humble and grateful for the opportunity to serve others in any capacity. Her compassion, dedication, and unwavering faith continue to make a lasting impact on the lives of those she serves. As she cares for Madison County, Texas, residents she also plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of health care providers by providing students with invaluable opportunities to learn and serve alongside her.
